Sarah has made films about disability for years. It all started with Untold Desires, a frank and honest documentary about sexuality and disability which won numerous awards and remains a compelling and thought provoking film even 10 years after its release. Secret Fear was her second documentary, this time exploding the myths about anxiety disorders. This film also marked the beginning of her working partnership with editor Rob Murphy, technical director on No Limits.
Numerous commissioned films about disability followed - and some films not about disability. Then came the invitation from C31 in Melbourne to create a disability show for community television. After 18 months of planning No Limits first went to air in June 2003.
Sarah continues to work on a range of film projects as well as producing around 26 episodes of No Limits per year. She has a six year old daughter who has Cerebral Palsy and is motivated by a desire to improve attitudes towards disability via popular media so her daughter will grow up in a world where discrimination against people with disabilities is a thing of the past.
